Eligibility For Admission

The Indian Air Force invites applicants to apply for the AFCAT exam through an initial statement and provides a thorough explanation of the requirements for Air Force eligibility that applicants must meet. Because the mere issuance of the Admit Card to the applicant does not imply that the IAF has fully cleared the application, applicants must carefully review the AFCAT eligibility requirements.

  • The Air Force verifies eligibility requirements using the original paperwork as a guide.
  • Once a candidate passes the written test and passes the AFSB Test, verification is completed.
  • If a candidate is discovered to not meet the required requirements at any point during the recruiting process, the organizing body has the power to reject their application. There are three ways for graduates or engineers to get into the Flying Branch of the Air Force Academy. The first is through the CDS exam, for which UPSC releases notices in November and August. Other ways are through AFCAT Entry and NCC Special Entry, for which the Indian Air Force publishes recruitment notices in June and December. This information is made public by the IAF in June and December in conjunction with the NCC Special Submission.
