An alumnus of N.D.A., he graduated from I.M.A. in 1982. He was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery and had 30 years of service. He commanded his unit in intense Counter Insurgency Operations from 2002-2005. He underwent G.T.O. training in 1997 and served at 18 S.S.B. Allahabad from 1997 to 2000. He has trained 'in-service' S.S.B. aspirants and students of different Sainik Schools/ Army Public Schools.
A postgraduate commissioned through I.M.A. in 1970. He served in the Indian Army for 30 years. He had the opportunity to serve as an Instructor in N.D.A. and A.C.C. He was the Principal of a Sainik School for five years. He was actively involved in the 1971 operations I.P.K.F. in Sri Lanka & Counter Insurgency Operations in Nagaland. He is an experienced Psychologist (Technical Officer) from Selection Centre Central, Bhopal, between 1983 and 1986. He was also a visiting assessor at Selection Center Allahabad for six months in 1991. Col. Basu has trained Sainik School students and candidates for S.S.B.
Col. Sushen Chakraborty was commissioned into the Air Defence Artillery in June 1978. He is an alumnus of Sainik School and NDA, Khadakwasla. He commanded an Air Defence Regiment during the Kargil War at Leh. He is a qualified instructor from the Defence Institute of Psychological Research (D.I.P.R.), New Delhi. He served as an Interviewing Officer in S.S.B.s at Allahabad and Bhopal in two separate tenures. He has interviewed nearly 7000 candidates in S.S.B.s and many N.C.C. cadets while serving in N.C.C. as Group Commander and has remained associated with grooming students for joining the Armed Forces. After retirement from the Army, he served as Registrar & Head of Administration of the Army Institute of Management, Kolkata, till April 2020.
Commandant Yogesh Dutta (Retd), had served in the Indian Coast Guard for 25 years with rich Sea operations &experience in planning, security operations, training & development. This also includes duties in the capacities of an Executive Officer, Gunnery Officer, Navigating Officer, Communication Officer, Training Officer, Maritime Law enforcement officer, Principal Warfare Officer & Nuclear Biological Chemical Defence & Fire-fighting Officer. He is also in possession of the Management and Operation of Search & Rescue Structures, from I.M.S.S.E.A. Genoa, Italy. The officer is a Hovercraft Pilot, who has qualified for his Pilot’s training & rating from Southampton, United Kingdom, and has also completed about 2,000 hours of Hovercraft operations. The officer had also served important appointments as Joint Director in the recruitment directorate, and a Psych Assessor with the Coast Guard Selection Board (CGSB, Noida). He has also been into Sea training and was a Training Officer on board an Indian Naval Ship training/ Indian Coast Guard dedicated to grooming cadets who will be future Indian Navy/ Coast Guard officers.
COMDT Yogesh Dutta (Retd) is a master's in AppliedPsychologyincluding Post graduation in Guidance & Counselling and has qualifications as a Technical Officer (Psychology Assessor), from the Defence Institute of Psychology Research (DIPR), Delhi.
An alumnus of the National Defence Academy and Sainik School Purulia was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 January 1989 and retired on 30 November 2022 after 34 years of service
He was a specialist Gunnery officer and carried out various appointments as a gunnery officer in naval ships Chapal, Arnala, K -25 etc. He was the executive officer of the LST(L) INS Gharial. He had undergone an interviewing officers course from DIPR Delhi in the year 2012. Thereafter he served as the command recruitment officer in the Eastern Naval Command wherein he carried out motivational lectures in hundreds of colleges in the Eastern sector and also carried out preliminary selection for SSB. He was instrumental in bringing up the Naval SSB centre in Visakhapatnam and took interviews of more than 1000 candidates in SSB Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam.
Captain Rahman has trained Sainik school students and candidates for SSB.
